CUSTOM SCULPTURE COMMISIONS
Commission a One-of-a-Kind Sculpture
Bring a deeply meaningful sculpture into your space. I create original figurative sculpture and symbolic works in clay, with feminine presence, beauty, emotional depth and healing. Final cast options are available in bronze, aluminum, aqua-resin, hydro-stone, or concrete. If you’re looking for artwork that carries presence, beauty, and emotional depth, I create custom commissions for collectors, families, institutions, and public spaces. If you want a sculpture that reflects a story, a memory, or a vision, I’d love to connect. Each commission is a collaboration — a chance to create something personal, meaningful, and lasting.

CONSULTATION
The initial art consultation is about understanding how someone wants to live with an art piece, what they connect and respond to emotionally, and how a sculpture can shape and enhance the physical and spiritual presence of a space. We will discuss the theme or subject matter, dimensions, final cast material, the timeline, and the budget of your envisioned custom art piece, including whether it’s a portrait, a free standing figure or a wall relief sculpture.
SCULPTING A PORTRAIT FROM REAL LIFE
The most accurate portrait sculpted in clay is from a live model (the sitter), taking precise measurements and being able to see all angles of the face simultaneously. The fascinating aspect about working from life, is capturing the essence and character of a human being. A few hours in a studio will be required at the beginning and at the end of the sculpted portrait in clay, but reference photos will be also taken to ensure I can continue to work on the portrait alone, as this process takes several days to complete.
SCULPTING A PORTRAIT FROM PHOTOGRAPHS
If the person is not available to model for a portrait, or it is a sculpture of a loved one that has passed on, photographs are perfectly fine as a point of reference, as long as they are clear, large photos of the front of the face, as well as the side and the back of the head. The profile view is essential in achieving accuracy of a good likeness in a sculpted portrait.
TIMELINE AND THE PROCESS
Every art commission is different, depending on the size and complexity. In general, a life size portrait in clay takes about 4 weeks. After the sculpture is finished in clay and approved with final touches or adjustments to your liking, a silicone mold with a plaster mother-mold is applied to the clay portrait to create a perfect replica of the original piece. The silicone mold is used to cast the sculpture into the final material such as bronze or cement for the outdoors, or hydro-stone and aqua-resin (artificial stone) for the indoors. The timeline for a bronze portrait is between 6-8 weeks.
PRICING
Pricing depends on the size of the sculpture and the final materials used. Prices start from $2000 for a life-size portrait sculpture in clay. A silicone mould is made and the final sculpture will be cast into Hydrostone (indoors) or cement (for outdoors). The cost of silicone mold and cast is $500.
The total cost of a custom life-size portrait cast into hydro-stone or cement is $2500.
The total cost of a custom life-size portrait cast into bronze is $5000.
If the final material will be bronze, which can last for centuries, the silicone mould is taken to the bronze foundry to produce a perfect replica of the sculpture in wax, which will be molten away and replaced by a hot liquid bronze cast. Final finishing and patina colour of your choice will be applied to the finished piece. Typically a portrait in bronze will cost around $5000. The price is divided into two portions, one for the clay sculpture and silicone mold ($2500), and the other portion of the payment is for the bronze casting process ($2500) paid to the Bronze Foundry.
Local delivery (Ontario & Quebec), and installation of artwork are included in the price. Shipping costs of the sculpture to another country or province is the responsibility of the client and will be added to the total budget.
LARGE SCULPTURE WALL RELIEF AND PUBLIC FIGURATIVE ART
If your commission is for a wall relief sculpture or a full-life statue for public display, please contact me to discuss the project, your requirements, timeline and your budget. Every commission is different and unique. Prices are considered upon sizes, materials and complexity of the final work. The final price of the artwork includes production time, materials, delivery and installation of the piece. If the artwork needs to be shipped to another province or country, it is the responsibility of the client to cover the shipping costs. Large sculpture wall relief, or a custom life size bronze figure can range between $10K to $30K. If you have a large sculpture commission, public art project, or a creative collaboration in mind, please contact me with as much details as possible. Please include information on the subject, desired sculpture size and medium, intended location or setting, timeline, budget, or any other relevant information.
CUSTOM SCULPTURE AWARDS
If you’re looking for custom made awards to honor recipients for outstanding achievements at a special event or gala, please inquire about your idea, subject matter or symbolism representing your organization. I have created many sets of awards for prestigious organizations such as The Black History Month Excellence Awards for Ottawa University, Women’s Excellence Awards, Guinean Excellence Awards and Awards of Excellence for the Nelson Mandela Legacy. The price of each award created in clay and cast into hydro-stone, including the base is $120.
ANTIQUE SCULPTURE RESTORATION
Do you have an antique sculpture or a frame that needs restoration? I do professional restoration to repair chipped or broken sculpture, pottery and antique frames that can be restored with a perfect precision back to its original form. Please email me a photo of your broken piece for an accurate assessment of the repair. Pricing is determined by the complexity and the time it takes to repair the broken piece. The hourly cost of repair is $30.
PRIVATE SCULPTING LESSONS
I offer one on one sculpting lessons in my private studio, creating a portrait in clay. The lessons will take you through the whole process of sculpting a portrait from life or a photographic reference, with emphasis on the anatomical structure and the correct measurements right from the start, to achieve an accurate likeness as well as the essence of a person. The lessons will take you through the whole step by step process of sculpting a portrait to a very high finish. Whether you are a complete beginner or have some experience of sculpting in clay, instructions will be tailored to your specific level of sculpting experience.
